Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial Class A trucks on long-haul and regional routes, including logistics to Washington DC.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and secure cargo according to weight and balance guidelines.
- Maintain accurate logs (ELD) and complete all necessary delivery paperwork and receipts.
- Provide exceptional customer service to shippers and receivers.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws and company driving policies.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (Class A) with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable experience in a similar role.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical exam and drug screen.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.
- Flexibility to work varying schedules and meet tight delivery deadlines.
