Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks in a safe and professional manner, strictly adhering to all traffic laws and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
- Load and unload cargo safely and efficiently using proper equipment and techniques to prevent damage.
- Perform thorough daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, documenting any issues immediately.
- Maintain accurate logbooks and Electronic Logging Device (ELD) records in compliance with FMCSA regulations.
- Ensure all cargo is properly secured and accounted for during transit.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules, route changes, and any potential delays.
- Adhere to company policies regarding safety, security, and professional conduct at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A required.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable driving experience in the last 3 years.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Medical Card) must be valid.
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no major violations (e.g., DUI, Reckless Driving) in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of commercial vehicle safety systems and maintenance procedures.
