Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks (Class A CDL) in a safe, legal, and efficient manner on regional and OTR routes.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance and report any mechanical issues immediately.
- Load and unload cargo accurately, adhering to safety protocols and securing loads to prevent damage or injury.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and ensure all paperwork is completed correctly.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and team members regarding delivery times and route changes.
- Uphold strict adherence to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company safety policies at all times.
- Ensure the interior and exterior of the vehicle are kept clean and presentable at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record (MVR) required.
- Must have at least 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical exam and drug screen.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick decisions under pressure.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Willingness to submit to a background check.
- Basic math skills for cargo weight calculations and fuel management.
