Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks to transport goods safely and efficiently to designated locations in and around Milwaukee.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance and report mechanical issues.
- Document delivery receipts and maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring proper weight distribution and utilizing straps/tarps as necessary.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company safety policies at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and potential delays.
- Keep the cabin and cargo area clean and organized during transit.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A required.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Current DOT Medical Card and a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) within the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations, cargo securement, and safety procedures.
- Basic mechanical knowledge for minor troubleshooting and vehicle care.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends or overtime as needed.
