Responsibilities
- Operate commercial motor vehicles in a safe, legal, and professional manner at all times.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, documenting any defects immediately.
- Load and unload cargo securely, adhering to weight distribution and safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate logs (ELD) and all required paperwork (BOL, delivery receipts).
- Practice defensive driving techniques to ensure the safety of yourself, your cargo, and the public.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and team members.
- Keep the vehicle clean and presentable at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B (Must be obtained).
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT physical) on file.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable driving experience within the last 3 years.
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no preventable accidents or major violations.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) drug screen and background check.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
