Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks in a safe and legal manner, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper securement and handling of freight.
- Maintain accurate logbooks and delivery documentation in compliance with FMCSA regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery times and any potential delays.
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance checks and report any mechanical issues immediately.
- Uphold a high standard of customer service and professionalism at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A or B (depending on position).
- Current Medical Examiner’s Certificate (DOT physical) or willingness to obtain one.
- Clean driving record with no major violations in the past 3 years.
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable driving experience in the last 5 years.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations, traffic laws, and safety procedures.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as required.
