Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (dry van/refrigerated) with zero preventable incidents
- Plan and execute efficient delivery routes across North Carolina and surrounding states
- Conduct thorough pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle logs
- Load/unload freight with proper equipment and securement techniques
- Communicate proactively with dispatch regarding route conditions and delivery status
- Adhere strictly to HOS regulations and company safety protocols
- Maintain professional customer service during delivery interactions
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Strong knowledge of FMCSA regulations and DOT compliance
- Excellent time management and route planning skills
- Basic navigation proficiency (GPS systems and paper maps)
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Ability to work flexible schedules including weekends
