Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks to transport goods on local delivery routes within the San Jose area.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance and safety.
- Load and unload cargo using proper equipment, ensuring weight distribution and securement.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and required documentation.
- Provide excellent customer service during loading and delivery interactions.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record (no major violations in the last 3 years).
- Must possess a current Medical Examiner’s Certificate.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of driving experience preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks associated with loading and unloading.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
