Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks (box trucks or straight trucks) for local deliveries
- Load/unload cargo using proper equipment and safety protocols
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation
- Perform pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and basic maintenance
- Adapt to NYC traffic patterns and delivery time windows
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients
- Adhere to all DOT regulations and company policies
Qualifications
- Valid Class B CDL with airbrakes endorsement (NY State)
- Minimum 1 year commercial driving experience
- Clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly
- Strong knowledge of NYC geography and traffic patterns
- Excellent time management and communication skills
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Flexible availability for evening/weekend shifts
