Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks to transport goods and materials within the NYC metro area
- Adhere to strict delivery schedules and optimize routes for efficiency
- Perform pre-trip inspections and maintain vehicle maintenance logs
- Secure cargo properly and ensure compliance with DOT regulations
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery status
- Manage paperwork including bills of lading and delivery confirmations
- Represent the company professionally with all stakeholders
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 1 year commercial driving experience
- Clean MVR with no major violations in past 3 years
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and handle physical demands
- Strong knowledge of NYC traffic patterns and regulations
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Basic computer literacy for electronic logging systems
