Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to deliver goods to various commercial and residential destinations within San Antonio and the surrounding Bexar County area.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance and report any maintenance issues immediately.
- Load and unload cargo using hand trucks, pallet jacks, and other equipment, ensuring proper handling and securement.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and timesheets in compliance with FMCSA regulations.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, speed limits, and company safety policies at all times.
- Provide excellent customer service by interacting professionally with clients and verifying delivery contents.
- Keep the vehicle clean and organized at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A or Class B required.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable driving experience preferred.
- Pass a background check and drug screening (MVR check).
- Ability to pass a DOT physical examination.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently.
- Physical ability to lift and move packages weighing up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.
