Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles safely and efficiently to deliver freight on schedule.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper securing and handling to prevent damage.
- Maintain accurate logs (ELD) and documentation in accordance with DOT regulations.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and any issues.
- Keep the vehicle clean and organized at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or B (depending on vehicle type).
- Clean driving record with no major violations.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Ability to pass a DOT physical examination.
- Strong understanding of road maps and ability to navigate efficiently.
- Physical stamina to lift heavy items and sit for extended periods.
- Experience with electronic logging devices (ELD) is a plus.
