Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and vans to deliver cargo to designated locations.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Load and unload freight securely, ensuring proper handling of goods.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company safety policies.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation (bills of lading).
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status.
- Keep the vehicle clean and well-maintained at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in commercial driving (Preferred).
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical and drug screening.
- Strong knowledge of road maps and traffic patterns in the Jacksonville area.
- Physically capable of lifting heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and standing for extended periods.
- Basic computer skills for logging delivery information.
