We are currently seeking reliable and safety-conscious Part-Time Truck Drivers to join our growing team in Indianapolis, IN. Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and trailers to deliver cargo to designated locations in Indianapolis and surrounding areas.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the truck and trailer are in safe operating condition.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing loads according to safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate logs and documentation, including electronic logging devices (ELD) and delivery receipts.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety protocols at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any delays.
- Keep the truck clean, organized, and presentable at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Ability to pass a DOT physical examination and drug screen.
- Previous driving experience is preferred but not always required for qualified candidates.
- Strong time management skills and ability to meet strict delivery deadlines.
- Basic mechanical knowledge to perform minor vehicle troubleshooting is a plus.
- Must reside within a reasonable commute of Indianapolis, IN.
