Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks to deliver goods to designated locations in a timely manner.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety and compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, or manual handling).
- Maintain accurate logs of driving time, mileage, and cargo status (ELD compliance).
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered.
- Ensure the cleanliness of the vehicle interior and exterior at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or B required.
- Must possess a clean driving record (MVR check required).
- Minimum of 1 year of driving experience preferred.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Must be willing to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.
