Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and trailers to deliver freight to designated locations within the Dallas metroplex and surrounding areas.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards and DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of product integrity.
- Maintain accurate logs and documentation regarding delivery times, mileage, and cargo status.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and time management protocols.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery schedules and potential delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Ability to pass a mandatory DOT drug screen and criminal background check.
- Strong knowledge of local Dallas roadways, highways, and logistics hubs.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet strict delivery deadlines.
- Ability to perform physical duties including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Previous experience in local driving is highly preferred.
