Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks (26+ tons) for local/regional routes
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and electronic records
- Perform pre/post-trip vehicle inspections
- Coordinate with dispatch for efficient route planning
- Handle specialized freight (refrigerated, flatbed, dry van)
- Ensure compliance with FMCSA regulations
- Provide exceptional customer service at delivery points
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record
- Minimum 1 year commercial driving experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with DOT regulations and HOS
- Strong navigation skills (GPS/manual maps)
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting knowledge
- Excellent time management and communication skills
