Responsibilities
- Safe Operation: Safely operate commercial trucks and delivery vans on local and regional routes in Dallas, TX, and Illinois.
- Cargo Handling: Load and unload cargo, ensuring items are secured properly to prevent damage during transit.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in safe operating condition.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate logs, delivery receipts, and mileage records in compliance with DOT regulations.
- Customer Service: Interact professionally with clients and ensure a high level of service during every delivery.
- Schedule Compliance: Adhere to assigned routes and time schedules to ensure on-time delivery.
Qualifications
- License Requirements: Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or B is required.
- Medical: Must possess a valid DOT medical card and meet physical requirements for driving.
- Driving Record: Clean driving record with no serious traffic violations in the past 3 years.
- Experience: Prior driving experience is preferred but not always mandatory for qualified candidates.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of traffic laws, navigation, and basic vehicle maintenance.
- Availability: Must be available for part-time shifts, including some weekends or evenings.
