Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks to deliver freight safely and efficiently to designated locations.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety and compliance.
- Maintain accurate logs and delivery documentation (electronic or paper) in strict accordance with FMCSA regulations.
- Load and unload cargo securely using proper lifting techniques and equipment.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company safety protocols, and time schedules.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and any delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or B required.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable driving experience preferred.
- Clean driving record (MVR check) with no major violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as business needs dictate.
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to represent the company professionally.
- Basic mechanical knowledge to identify potential vehicle issues.
