As a key member of our logistics team, you will ensure timely deliveries and maintain the highest standards of safety on the road.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and vans to deliver goods to local and regional destinations within Charlotte.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance and identify maintenance needs.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper securing and handling of all freight to prevent damage.
- Maintain accurate logbooks and delivery documentation in compliance with FMCSA regulations.
- Provide excellent customer service during all drop-offs and pickups.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Must meet DOT physical requirements (pass DOT physical exam).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable driving experience.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings and weekends.
- Strong knowledge of Charlotte, NC, and surrounding routes.
- Proficient in using electronic logging devices (ELD) and onboard navigation systems.
