Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks to deliver freight to designated locations in a timely manner.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring weight distribution is correct.
- Maintain accurate logs and documentation, including Electronic Logging Device (ELD) records.
- Provide excellent customer service to shippers and receivers during deliveries.
- Adhere to all Department of Transportation (DOT) and company safety policies at all times.
- Report any mechanical issues or accidents immediately to management.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Physical).
- Clean driving record with no serious violations or DUIs in the past 3-5 years.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Ability to lift and handle cargo with or without mechanical assistance.
- Basic computer literacy for logging and communication purposes.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
