Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles (Class A or B) safely and efficiently in and around the Chicago area.
- Deliver freight to designated locations on time, ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Maintain accurate logs (ELD) and documentation in accordance with FMCSA regulations.
- Keep the cargo and vehicle interior clean and organized.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delays or issues.
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A or Class B license required.
- Must possess a clean driving record (MVR) and a valid Medical Examiner's Certificate.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Basic mechanical knowledge to perform minor vehicle checks.
- Strong customer service skills and a professional demeanor.
- Ability to lift and handle cargo (up to 50 lbs) when necessary.
