Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (box trucks, flatbeds) for local deliveries within San Diego County
- Load/unload cargo using proper equipment and safety protocols
- Maintain accurate delivery records and documentation
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and company safety policies
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery status
- Assist in warehouse operations when not on delivery routes
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 1 year commercial driving experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and operate warehouse equipment
- Strong knowledge of San Diego roadways and traffic patterns
- Pass background check and drug screening as per DOT requirements
- Excellent time management and customer service skills
- Availability to work flexible shifts including early mornings and weekends
