Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks to transport goods within the Chicago metropolitan area
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate delivery logs
- Load/unload cargo with precision and adhere to safety protocols
- Manage time-sensitive deliveries while meeting strict deadlines
- Communicate effectively with dispatch team and clients
- Maintain clean driving record and comply with DOT regulations
- Assist in route optimization to ensure efficient delivery schedules
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 1 year of commercial driving experience
- Clean driving record with no major violations in past 3 years
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly
- Strong knowledge of Chicago roadways and traffic patterns
- DOT medical certification current and in good standing
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
- Basic familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELD)
