Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks to transport goods and materials within the DC metropolitan area
- Conduct thorough pre-trip/post-trip vehicle inspections and maintenance checks
- Plan efficient routes using GPS technology while adhering to delivery schedules
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, manifests, and required documentation
- Communicate with dispatch team regarding route changes, delays, or delivery issues
- Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and safety protocols at all times
- Assist with loading/unloading cargo when necessary and verify shipment accuracy
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or B
- Minimum 1 year of commercial driving experience
- Clean driving record with no major violations in the past 3 years
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and climb in/out of truck frequently
- Strong knowledge of Washington, DC metropolitan area geography
- Pass federal background check and pre-employment drug screening
- Excellent time management and customer service skills
- Flexibility to work evenings/weekends as needed
