Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks to transport goods across NYC boroughs
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate delivery logs
- Plan efficient routes using GPS navigation tools
- Coordinate with dispatchers for real-time delivery updates
- Ensure cargo security and proper handling during transit
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Provide excellent customer service during delivery interactions
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A or B license
- Minimum 1 year commercial driving experience
- Clean MVR with no major violations in past 3 years
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Familiarity with NYC traffic patterns and delivery zones
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Flexibility to work evenings/weekends as needed
- Basic knowledge of cargo securement techniques
