Responsibilities
- Transport students to and from school and school-related activities in a safe and timely manner.
- Ensure the safety of all passengers by enforcing school bus safety rules and regulations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the bus is in safe operating condition.
- Maintain a clean and orderly bus environment at all times.
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and students regarding schedules and any issues.
- Assist students with boarding and exiting the bus, including special needs students if applicable.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class B or higher with Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) endorsements.
- Pass a comprehensive background check, including criminal history and driving record verification.
- Excellent driving record with no major moving violations.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting and pushing.
- Willingness to undergo a drug screen and physical examination.
