Responsibilities
- Transport students to and from school and school-related activities safely and on time.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the bus is in safe operating condition.
- Maintain a safe and orderly environment on the bus, enforcing school safety rules.
- Assist students in boarding and exiting the vehicle, ensuring proper seatbelt usage.
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and dispatch regarding schedule changes or delays.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class B with Passenger endorsement is preferred.
- Willingness to undergo a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
- Strong commitment to student safety and punctuality.
- Good communication skills and a patient demeanor.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical exam.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
