Responsibilities
- Ensure the safety of all students during pre-trip, on-route, and post-trip duties.
- Monitor student behavior and maintain a safe, orderly environment on the bus.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws and district transportation policies.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the bus is in safe operating condition.
- Communicate effectively with school staff and parents regarding student transportation needs.
- Assist students with boarding and exiting the bus in a safe and courteous manner.
Qualifications
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with Passenger endorsement and School Bus endorsement.
- Must possess a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and pass a background check.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Ability to pass a drug screen and physical examination.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
