Responsibilities
- Safely transport students to/from school and field trips
- Conduct pre/post-trip vehicle inspections
- Maintain strict adherence to traffic laws and safety protocols
- Manage student behavior with positive reinforcement
- Communicate effectively with parents and school staff
- Complete accurate trip logs and incident reports
- Ensure proper vehicle maintenance and cleanliness
Qualifications
- Valid NY Class B CDL with P/S endorsement (or willingness to obtain)
- Minimum 2 years driving experience
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Child safety certification preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lift 25 lbs and navigate bus stairs
- Reliable transportation to depot locations
- Patience and strong conflict resolution abilities
