Responsibilities
- Safely transport students to and from designated stops and schools
- Conduct pre-trip inspections of bus systems and safety equipment
- Maintain strict adherence to traffic laws and school district policies
- Ensure student safety during loading, unloading, and transit
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and dispatch
- Complete daily trip logs and incident reports accurately
- Manage student behavior with positive reinforcement techniques
Qualifications
- Valid Ohio Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with School Bus Endorsement
- Minimum 2 years of professional driving experience
- Pass federal background check and drug screening
- CPR/First Aid certification preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage student behavior calmly and professionally
- Flexible availability for morning and afternoon shifts
- Strong attention to detail and safety protocols
