Responsibilities
- Safely transport students to and from school on assigned routes
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip bus inspections
- Maintain a safe, orderly, and respectful environment on the bus
- Adhere strictly to traffic laws and school district safety protocols
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and transportation supervisors
- Report any maintenance issues or student behavior concerns promptly
- Assist students with boarding and exiting the bus safely
- Complete daily trip logs and required paperwork accurately
Qualifications
- Valid Pennsylvania Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with passenger and school bus endorsements
- Minimum 1 year of safe driving experience
- Pass background check, drug screening, and physical examination
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and assist students with mobility needs
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience and ability to work well with children
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Ability to work in all weather conditions
