Responsibilities
- Safely operate school buses following designated routes and schedules
- Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance
- Monitor student behavior and maintain a secure, orderly environment
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and dispatchers
- Adhere to all traffic laws, school policies, and safety protocols
- Assist students with boarding and exiting the bus, including those with special needs
- Complete accurate incident reports and maintenance documentation
Qualifications
- Valid Wisconsin Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with passenger endorsement
- Minimum 1 year of professional driving experience
- Pass background check and drug screening requirements
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle emergency situations calmly and effectively
- Basic first aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong attention to detail and punctuality
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
