Responsibilities
- Safely operate school bus routes according to established schedules and safety protocols
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety
- Supervise student behavior and enforce transportation rules during transit
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and transportation coordinators
- Maintain accurate attendance and incident documentation
- Assist with special event transportation (field trips, athletic events)
- Adhere to all federal, state, and district transportation regulations
Qualifications
- Valid Texas Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Passenger endorsement
- Minimum 1 year of professional driving experience
- Pass background check and drug screening
- First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage student safety and discipline
- Flexible availability for morning and afternoon shifts
- Knowledge of Arlington area roads and traffic patterns
