Responsibilities
- Safely operate school buses following all traffic laws and district policies
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Manage student behavior and ensure a positive, secure environment
- Maintain accurate attendance and route documentation
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and dispatch
- Respond to emergencies and ensure student safety protocols
- Adhere to strict schedules and punctuality requirements
Qualifications
- Valid Colorado Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) endorsements
- Minimum 1 year of professional driving experience
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and assist students with mobility needs
- Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
- Patience and ability to work with diverse student populations
- Flexibility to cover routes during peak seasons
