Responsibilities
- Safely operate school buses on designated routes following strict traffic and safety protocols
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and ensure vehicle maintenance compliance
- Manage student behavior with patience and enforce bus rules
- Assist students with boarding/disembarking, including special needs students
- Maintain accurate attendance and incident reports
- Communicate professionally with parents, school staff, and dispatch
- Adhere to all federal/state transportation regulations
Qualifications
- Valid Colorado Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with School Bus endorsement
- Minimum 2 years driving experience
- Clean driving record (no DUIs in past 5 years)
- Pass background check and drug screening
- First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and assist mobility-impaired students
- Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
