Responsibilities
- Safely transport K-12 students on designated routes before and after school hours
- Conduct thorough pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and maintenance reports
- Enforce safety protocols and manage student behavior during transit
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and dispatchers
- Adapt routes for field trips, athletic events, and emergency closures
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and welcoming bus environment
- Adhere to all federal/state transportation regulations and district policies
Qualifications
- Valid California Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with P/S endorsement
- Current DOT medical certification and clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years professional driving experience
- Pass FBI background check and fingerprint clearance
- Child CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Fluency in English and Spanish strongly preferred
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work outdoors in varying weather conditions
