Responsibilities
- Pick up and deliver medical specimens, lab samples, and confidential documents to designated healthcare facilities and laboratories.
- Adhere strictly to HIPAA regulations, safety protocols, and chain-of-custody procedures to ensure specimen integrity.
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance and keep the courier vehicle clean and organized.
- Utilize handheld scanners and mobile software to accurately log deliveries, pickups, and times.
- Ensure punctual arrivals at all stops while accounting for traffic and weather conditions.
- Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor when interacting with hospital staff and patients.
Qualifications
- Valid California Class C Driver’s License and a clean driving record (no DUIs within the last 3 years).
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
- Physical ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
- Proficiency with mobile technology, GPS navigation systems, and delivery software.
- Strong sense of time management, punctuality, and attention to detail.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
