Responsibilities
- Safely deliver packages and goods to residential and commercial locations within Detroit metro area
- Optimize daily delivery routes using GPS navigation systems to ensure timely arrivals
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and obtain customer signatures for proof of delivery
- Inspect vehicles daily and report maintenance needs to fleet management
- Provide exceptional customer service during all delivery interactions
- Assist with loading/unloading operations and package inventory management
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety protocols at all times
Qualifications
- Valid Michigan driver's license with clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Minimum 1 year of professional driving experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and operate manual/automatic transmissions
- Smartphone proficiency for navigation and delivery tracking apps
- Strong knowledge of Detroit neighborhoods and major roadways
- Excellent time management and communication skills
- Ability to work independently while maintaining team collaboration
- Pass background check and drug screening
