Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport freight between warehouses, distribution centers, and client locations
- Load/unload shipments with proper handling techniques and equipment operation
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and electronic tracking systems
- Conduct pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs
- Adhere strictly to NYC traffic regulations and DOT compliance standards
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions
- Optimize routes for efficiency while meeting tight delivery windows
Qualifications
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable freight/delivery experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly and operate pallet jacks
- Proficiency with GPS navigation and delivery tracking apps
- Strong time management and problem-solving abilities
- Knowledge of NYC geography and traffic patterns
- DOT medical certification and required safety training
