Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport freight to designated destinations within the Nashville metro area.
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts or pallet jacks, ensuring proper weight distribution and security.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, documenting any issues immediately.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company safety policies.
- Manage and organize delivery paperwork, including bills of lading and customer signatures.
- Provide excellent customer service by representing the company professionally during deliveries.
- Maintain a clean and organized truck cab and cargo area.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A or B required.
- Minimum of 1 year of driving experience in a similar role.
- Current Medical Examiner’s Certificate (DOT physical).
- Clean driving record with no major violations within the last 3 years.
- Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
- Strong navigation skills and familiarity with GPS systems.
- Must pass a background check and drug screen.
