Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks to transport freight safely and efficiently throughout the Glendale, AZ area.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections (DVIR) to ensure compliance and safety.
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks), ensuring weight distribution and cargo security.
- Maintain accurate records using Electronic Logging Devices (ELD) and logbooks in strict accordance with DOT regulations.
- Communicate clearly with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules, route changes, and any cargo issues.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety protocols at all times.
- Keep the vehicle interior and exterior clean and presentable at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Must pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination and drug screen.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of local Glendale, AZ geography and traffic patterns.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and perform physical tasks associated with freight handling.
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-service oriented attitude.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
