Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport freight between warehouses, distribution centers, and client locations
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations
- Load/unload cargo using appropriate equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, forklifts)
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and electronic logging systems
- Adapt routes efficiently to meet delivery deadlines and traffic conditions
- Communicate proactively with dispatch team and clients regarding shipment status
- Uphold company safety protocols and DOT compliance standards
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 1 year experience operating commercial freight vehicles
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly and operate warehouse equipment
- Strong knowledge of Fort Wayne roadways and Indiana traffic regulations
- Excellent time management and problem-solving abilities
- Basic proficiency with electronic logging devices and delivery tracking systems
- Pass background check and drug screening per DOT requirements
- Must be available for flexible shifts including early mornings and weekends
