Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport freight between warehouses and distribution centers
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and ensure compliance with DOT regulations
- Load/unload cargo using proper equipment and techniques
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding shipment status
- Adapt routes to avoid delays and ensure on-time deliveries
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 1 year of commercial driving experience
- Clean driving record with no major violations in past 3 years
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly
- Basic knowledge of freight handling and securement
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, or weekends as needed
