Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport freight between Orlando distribution centers and client locations
- Load/unload cargo using appropriate equipment while maintaining proper documentation
- Perform pre-trip inspections and report vehicle maintenance issues promptly
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Optimize delivery routes to ensure timely arrivals and fuel efficiency
- Communicate effectively with dispatch team regarding delivery status and delays
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and paperwork for all shipments
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 1 year of professional freight or commercial driving experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and operate loading equipment
- Strong knowledge of Orlando metropolitan area roadways and traffic patterns
- Basic computer literacy for electronic logging and documentation
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work flexible shifts including early mornings and weekends
- Pass background check and drug screening as per federal requirements
