Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport freight between warehouses, distribution centers, and client locations
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate delivery documentation
- Load/unload cargo using appropriate equipment while ensuring compliance with safety protocols
- Optimize routes to meet delivery deadlines while adhering to traffic regulations
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery status and delays
- Maintain clean driving record and report any vehicle maintenance issues promptly
- Assist in inventory verification and secure cargo for transit
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 1 year commercial driving experience with freight transportation
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment (pallet jacks, forklifts)
- Strong knowledge of Reno/Truckee Meadows area and surrounding regions
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work flexible shifts including early mornings, evenings, and weekends
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety compliance
- Basic computer skills for digital documentation
