Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport freight between distribution centers and client locations
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations
- Accurately document delivery manifests and maintain electronic logs
- Coordinate with warehouse teams to ensure timely loading/unloading of cargo
- Adapt routes for weather conditions and traffic patterns to maintain delivery schedules
- Maintain clean driving record and report maintenance issues promptly
- Provide exceptional customer service during client interactions
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 1 year commercial driving experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly during loading/unloading
- Strong knowledge of Fort Wayne roadways and surrounding areas
- Basic computer literacy for electronic logbook systems
- Ability to work flexible hours including early mornings and weekends
- Pass background check and drug screening
- FMCSA certification preferred
