Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles for local freight deliveries within Madison metro area
- Load/unload shipments with proper handling techniques and equipment operation
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation for compliance
- Perform pre-trip inspections and basic vehicle maintenance checks
- Optimize routes for timely delivery while adhering to traffic regulations
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery status
- Uphold company safety standards and DOT compliance protocols
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 1 year commercial driving experience
- Clean MVR with no major violations in past 3 years
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and operate loading equipment
- Basic knowledge of Madison area roadways and traffic patterns
- Strong time management and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
