Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport freight between warehouses, distribution centers, and client sites
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards
- Maintain accurate delivery records and electronic logs using GPS tracking systems
- Coordinate with dispatch team to optimize routes and meet delivery deadlines
- Handle loading/unloading operations with proper equipment and safety protocols
- Communicate professionally with clients and resolve delivery-related inquiries
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 1 year of commercial driving experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and operate pallet jacks/forklifts
- Strong knowledge of local Raleigh-Durham roadways and traffic patterns
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
- Ability to pass DOT physical and background screening
- Basic proficiency with mobile dispatch applications
