Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport freight between warehouses, distribution centers, and client locations
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate delivery documentation
- Optimize routes to ensure on-time deliveries while adhering to traffic regulations
- Load/unload cargo using proper equipment and safety protocols
- Communicate proactively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery status
- Maintain clean driving record and report maintenance issues promptly
- Adhere to all DOT regulations and company safety policies
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years commercial driving experience
- Familiarity with Los Angeles traffic patterns and delivery zones
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Basic knowledge of freight handling and securement techniques
